Alison Braid-Fernandez

Alison Braid-Fernandez's first chapbook, Little Hunches (2020) was published with Anstruther Press. She won the 2023 Okanagan Short Story Contest and has been shortlisted for the Montreal International Poetry Prize, The Bridport Prize in Flash Fiction, and Arc Poetry Magazine's Poem of the Year Contest. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in magazines such as EVENT Magazine, The Adroit Journal, West Branch, The New Quarterly, PRISM international, Grain, Canadian Literature, Prairie Fire, CV2, and The Ex-Puritan and  anthologized in the forthcoming Best Canadian Poetry 2024. She holds an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, and is currently at work on a collection of short stories, Look Both Ways and Other Stories, with the support of a Canada Council for the Arts Research and Creation Grant.
