Alison Braid-Fernandez

Alison Braid-Fernandez's first chapbook, Little Hunches, was published with Anstruther Press. Recent work appears in magazines such as Conjunctions, The Malahat Review, Canadian Literature, The Massachusetts Review, EVENT, The Adroit Journal, West Branch, and PRISM international. Her poems have been featured on The Slowdown Show and anthologized in Best Canadian Poetry 2024 and 2025. She holds an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BFA in Writing from the University of British Columbia. Alison is an editor, manuscript consultant, and writing workshop facilitator. She teaches Memoir of Inquiry and Building Your Manuscript alongside Betsy Warland through The SFU Writer's Studio. Her work has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Access Copyright Foundation, and the BC Arts Council. She is currently working on a novel.
